    How to Insert a Trifocal Toric Lens?

    Lens implantation is performed during cataract surgery. The steps are as follows:

    -The eye is numbed with topical anesthesia (eye drops).

    -A small 2 mm incision is made in the eye.

    -The cataractous natural lens is removed by breaking it up with ultrasonic waves (Phaco device).

    -A trifocal toric lens that corrects astigmatism and vision disorders is placed inside the eye.

    -The incision closes on its own, no stitches are required.

    The operation usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes. Patients can be discharged the same day.
