    What is Crosslinking Treatment?

Crosslinking is used to increase the structural strength of the cornea in keratoconus disease, does not contact the eye, is stitchless and does not require any incision is a treatment method.
The aim of this advanced technology method we use at Mega Eye is to stop the progressive deformity of the cornea and prevent vision loss.

During this procedure, the cornea riboflavin (vitamin B2) drops are applied and then special UV-A light is applied to strengthen the bonds between collagen fibers in the cornea.

How is Intraocular Lens Surgery Performed? Can It Be Performed Together with Corneal Ring and Corneal Transplant?

Yes. Crosslinking treatment at MegaGöz can be applied in the following combinations:

-Before or after corneal ring implantation

-As supportive treatment after corneal transplantation (keratoplasty)

-These combinations both correct the shape of the cornea and strengthen it structurally.

At What Age Should Intraocular Lens Surgery Be Performed?

ICL surgery is generally recommended at age 21 or older. This age limit is established to allow the eye number to stabilize. For people under 21, the eye number is usually evaluated for changes.

There is no upper age limit, but eye problems such as cataracts are taken into consideration when performing surgery at an older age.
