What is Conjunctiva?
The conjunctiva is a thin, transparent membrane that covers the white part of the eye (sclera) and the inner surface of the eyelids. It moistens the eye, protects against infection, and forms a barrier against external factors. When this membrane becomes inflamed, conjunctivitis in other words, the condition commonly known as “pink eye” occurs.
