Eye Laser Treatment Methods?
Laser methods used in the treatment of refractive errors in the eye LASEK, PRK and No Touch techniques are included. With the advancements in technology over the last 25 years, these methods offer very reliable and effective results.
Frequently asked questions?
What are Refractive Errors?
-Myopia: It occurs when the refractive power of the eye is higher than normal, and long distances appear blurry.
-Hyperopia: The refractive power of the eye is less than normal, causing difficulties in seeing at close distances.
-Astigmatism: It is the condition in which the eye surface or refractive error is not equal in different quadrants and reduces the quality of vision.
-All of these disorders affect visual acuity, but can be successfully corrected with laser treatments.

LASEK Treatment?
LASEK is a reliable procedure that can be completed in as little as 15 minutes, with the laser application taking approximately 20 seconds. The epithelial tissue is loosened and lifted with softening agents, the cornea is reshaped with the laser, and the epithelium is then repositioned. It is an ideal alternative for patients who cannot undergo iLASIK.
-Applied to suitable patients between the ages of 18-60.
-A detailed eye examination is performed before the operation.
-Contact lens users must stop using lenses before surgery.
-There may be mild discomfort for 2-3 days after surgery, but vision becomes completely clear within 3-6 weeks.

No Touch Treatment?
The No Touch method is a bladeless treatment that corrects refractive errors with laser beams without touching the eye. The procedure takes approximately 50 seconds and can be applied to both eyes simultaneously.
-No pain or ache is felt during the surgery.
-The eye is not covered, the patient can return to normal life immediately after the procedure.
-Mild stinging and redness are normal for the first 36 hours.
-Vision quality improves completely within 3-6 weeks.

PRK Treatment?
PRK is a laser surgery procedure that involves softening and stripping the epithelium, the uppermost layer of the cornea. Using an excimer laser, the cornea is reshaped and refractive errors are corrected.
-No corneal flap is created, so it leaves no scar.
-The natural structure of the cornea is preserved.
- Before the operation, eye makeup should not be applied, perfume should not be used, and blood thinners should be stopped.
-Contact lens wearers should stop using lenses before surgery.

How Long Does Eye Laser Surgery Take?
Eye laser surgery typically takes 5-10 minutes to complete. The procedure is performed under eye drops, and patients experience no pain or discomfort. Surgery time may vary depending on the patient's eye structure and the details of the treatment.
